The Pilot Mountain Turquoise mine is located in western Nevada. William Miller of Tonopah discovered the Montezuma back in 1905. This mine originally started as a copper mine, but they soon realized that the turquoise found there was extremely high quality. They claimed it for turquoise mining after that. This beautiful turquoise is known worldwide for its vast array of colors and quality.
