Kiffa Beads are perforated beads made by sintering glass powder, a type of recycled glass bead. They were named after the city of Kiffa in Mauritania, where they were discovered by ethnologist R. Mauny in 1949. The most famous Kiffa Beads are isosceles triangles with vertical stripe patterns.
