About Warring States Beads:

Warring States Beads are glass beads crafted during the Warring States period of China, which spans from the 5th to the 3rd century BCE, before the unification under the Qin dynasty. The earliest Chinese glass artifacts, dating back to the 11th to 8th century BCE, were discovered in Luoyang, Henan Province. However, it wasn't until the Warring States period that glass products began to be widely distributed.

Early Warring States beads were primarily made of a ceramic material known as faience, decorated with glass patterns. Eventually, fully glass-made beads became prevalent. These beads often featured patterns like "Seven Star Beads" or "Layered Eye Beads," characterized by their dot motifs. Although the glass-making techniques and design elements were influenced by West Asian regions like Roman glass, the materials used in Warring States beads differ in composition, showcasing the advanced glass-making skills of ancient China.

These beads are not only of historical significance but also admired for their rich designs and colors, making them a favorite among collectors.
