About Millefiori:
Millefiori, meaning "a thousand flowers" in Italian, is a celebrated glasswork technique that originated in Venice. Following the collapse of exclusive trade with the East, Venice faced significant economic challenges from the dominance of Bohemian glass in the European market. In response, Venetian artisans created Millefiori glass, renowned for its colorful and intricate designs. These beads were crafted into tubular shapes and exported to Africa as trade beads, where they are commonly referred to as "chachachou".
