About Chevron Beads:
Chevron beads, also known as star beads or rosetta beads, were invented in the late 1400s by Maria Varoveer on the island of Murano, Italy. While Venetian bead-making techniques often draw from ancient methods, the Chevron bead is an original Venetian innovation. Chevron beads have been found with up to ten layers, commonly in blue, while red, green, and black varieties are considered rare. The term "chevron" refers to the bead's distinctive V-shaped pattern. Over time, Chevron beads also began to be produced in the Netherlands.
