About Chevron Beads:
Chevron beads were invented in the late 1400s by Maria Barovier on the island of Murano, Italy. While Venetian bead-making techniques have ancient roots, Chevron beads are uniquely Venetian. They can have up to 10 layers and are predominantly blue, with red, green, and black variations being rare and highly prized. The technique was later adopted in the Netherlands, and the name “Chevron” refers to the V-shaped pattern, also known as star beads or rosetta.
