About Etched Carnelian:
Etched Carnelian beads, originating from the Indus Valley Civilization, are decorated with patterns using a natron solution derived from plants and then baked at low temperatures of around 300-400°C. These beads are also found in archaeological sites in Mesopotamia and Afghanistan, and it is believed that they were transported overland and by sea from the Indus River region.
