About Etched Carnelian Beads:

Era: 2500 BCE to 1800 BCE

Etched with natron liquid derived from plants and baked at low temperatures (around 300-400°C), these carnelian beads hail from the Indus Valley Civilization. While they have been unearthed in Mesopotamia and Afghanistan, it's believed that they were crafted in the Indus River Valley and transported overland and by sea.
