About Etched Carnelian:

Era: 2500 BCE to 1800 BCE

Originating from the Indus Valley Civilization, these Carnelian beads feature patterns created using natron, a liquid derived from plants. The patterns were baked at low temperatures of 300 to 400 degrees Celsius. While they are also found in the ruins of Mesopotamia and Afghanistan, it is believed that they were made in the Indus River basin and transported via land and sea routes.
