About Etched Carnelian:

Era: 2500 BCE to 1800 BCE

These beads originate from the Indus Valley Civilization. The patterns on carnelian beads were created using a liquid derived from plants called natron and baked at low temperatures between 300°C and 400°C. While these beads have been excavated from sites in Mesopotamia and Afghanistan, it is believed they were made in the Indus River region and transported via land and sea routes.
