About Etched Carnelian:

Era: 2500 BCE to 1800 BCE

Originating from the Indus Valley civilization, these carnelian beads feature etched designs created using natron solution derived from plants. The designs were then baked at low temperatures ranging between 300 to 400 degrees Celsius. While these beads are also found in archaeological sites in Mesopotamia and Afghanistan, it is believed that they were originally crafted in the Indus River Valley and transported via land and sea routes.
