About Etched Carnelian Beads:

Era: 2500 BCE to 1800 BCE

Origin: Indus Valley Civilization

These beads were crafted by drawing patterns with a natron solution derived from plants, then firing them at low temperatures of around 300 to 400 degrees Celsius. While they are also found in archaeological sites in Mesopotamia and Afghanistan, it is believed that those made in the Indus Valley were transported via land and sea routes.
