Product Description: This is a strand of Etched Carnelian Beads dating back to approximately 2500 BCE to 1800 BCE. These ancient beads are a remarkable piece of history, originating from the Indus Valley Civilization. The intricate patterns on the carnelian beads were created using a natron solution derived from plants and then fired at a low temperature of around 300 to 400 degrees Celsius. Although similar artifacts have been discovered in Mesopotamia and Afghanistan, it is believed that these beads were crafted in the Indus Valley and transported via land and sea routes.
