About Chevron Beads:

Chevron beads were invented in the late 1400s by Maria Valovere on the island of Murano, Italy. While Venetian bead-making techniques have roots in ancient methods, the Chevron technique is unique to Venice. Chevron beads, also known as star beads or rosetta beads, can have up to 10 layers and are most commonly found in blue. However, colors like red, green, and black are considered rare. The name "Chevron" refers to the bead's zigzag pattern, and these beads were later also produced in the Netherlands.
