About Chevron Beads:

The Chevron technique was invented in the late 1400s by Maria Valovier on the island of Murano, Italy. While Venetian bead-making techniques have evolved from ancient methods, Chevron beads represent a unique Venetian innovation. Chevron, also known as star beads or rosetta, refers to its distinctive mountain-shaped pattern. Up to ten layers of Chevron beads have been discovered, with blue being the most common color. Red, green, and black Chevron beads are considered rare. This technique later spread to the Netherlands, adding to its rich history and appeal.
