About Chevron Beads:

Chevron beads, also known as Star or Rosetta beads, were invented in the late 1400s by Maria Barovier in Murano, Italy. While Venetian bead-making techniques are derived from ancient methods, the chevron technique is unique to Venice. Chevron beads can have up to 10 layers, with blue being the most common color, while red, green, and black variations are rarer. The chevron technique later spread to the Netherlands. The term "chevron" means "zigzag" in Italian, reflecting the bead's distinctive pattern.
