Chevron Beads:
The Chevron bead technique was invented in the late 1400s by Maria Barovier on the island of Murano, Italy. While Venetian bead-making techniques typically build upon ancient methods, the Chevron method is uniquely Venetian. Chevron beads have been found with up to 10 layers and are often blue, though red, green, and black variants are rarer and more valuable. The term "Chevron" means "mountain-shaped," and these beads are also known as star beads or rosetta beads. Later, Chevron beads began to be produced in the Netherlands as well.
