About Chevron Beads:

The chevron bead technique was invented in the late 1400s by Maria Barovier on the island of Murano, Italy. While Venetian bead-making techniques often draw from ancient methods, chevron beads are a unique Venetian innovation. These beads can have up to 10 layers, with blue being the most common color, while red, green, and black are considered rare. Eventually, chevron beads were also produced in the Netherlands. The term "chevron" refers to the V-shaped pattern, and they are also known as star beads or rosetta beads.
