About Chevron Beads:

Chevron beads were invented in the late 1400s by Maria Barovier on the island of Murano, Italy. While Venetian bead techniques often adapt ancient methods, the Chevron technique is unique to Venice. These beads can have up to ten layers, with blue being the most common color. Red, green, and black Chevrons are rare and highly sought after. The name "Chevron" means "V-shaped," and these beads are also known as Star Beads or Rosetta Beads. The technique was later adopted in the Netherlands as well.
