About Chevron Beads:

Chevron beads, also known as star or rosetta beads, were invented in the late 1400s by Maria Varovier on the island of Murano, Italy. While Venetian bead-making techniques are rooted in ancient methods, the chevron technique is uniquely Venetian. These beads have been found with up to 10 layers, predominantly in blue, with red, green, and black being rarer. The name "chevron" refers to their distinctive V-shaped pattern. The production of chevron beads later spread to the Netherlands.
