About Chevron Beads:

Chevron beads, also known as star beads or rosetta, were invented in the late 1400s by Maria Valovere on the island of Murano, Italy. While Venetian bead techniques are derived from ancient methods, the chevron technique is unique to Venice. Chevron beads can have up to 10 layers, with blue being the most common color. Red, green, and black chevron beads are rarer and more valuable. The technique later spread to the Netherlands. The name "chevron" refers to the V-shaped pattern characteristic of these beads.
