About Chevron Beads:

Chevron beads, also known as star beads or rosetta beads, were invented in the late 1400s by Maria Valovier of Murano Island, Italy. While Venetian bead-making techniques are adaptations of ancient methods, the Chevron technique is unique to Venice. These beads can have up to 10 layers, with blue being the most common color. Red, green, and black Chevron beads are particularly rare. The name "Chevron" refers to the V-shaped pattern found on these beads. Later on, Chevron beads were also produced in the Netherlands.
