About Chevron Beads:

Chevron beads, also known as star beads or rosetta beads, are a Venetian invention dating back to the late 1400s, specifically credited to Maria Barovier on Murano Island, Italy. While most Venetian bead techniques are adaptations of ancient methods, Chevron is a unique Venetian technique. These beads can have up to 10 layers and are predominantly blue, with red, green, and black varieties being rarer and more prized. Chevron bead-making later expanded to the Netherlands. The name "Chevron" refers to the V-shaped pattern seen in these beads.
