About Chevron Beads:
The Chevron technique was invented in the late 1400s by Maria Valovier on the island of Murano, Italy. While Venetian bead-making techniques are adaptations of ancient methods, the Chevron technique is uniquely Venetian. Chevron beads with up to 10 layers have been discovered, predominantly in blue, with red, green, and black being rarer. The Chevron technique later spread to the Netherlands. The term "Chevron" refers to a V-shaped pattern, also known as star beads or rosetta beads.
