About Chevron Beads:
Chevron beads, also known as star beads or rosetta, were invented by Maria Veroveer of Murano Island, Italy, in the late 1400s. While Venetian bead techniques often draw from ancient methods, the Chevron technique is unique to Venice. Chevron beads have been discovered with up to 10 layers, predominantly in blue, though red, green, and black varieties are rare and highly valued. The technique eventually spread to the Netherlands. The term "Chevron" refers to the bead's distinctive zigzag or mountain pattern.
