About Chevron Beads:
Chevron beads, also known as star or rosetta beads, are a distinctive type of Venetian bead invented in the late 1400s by Maria Barovier on the island of Murano, Italy. While many Venetian bead techniques are adaptations of ancient methods, the chevron technique is uniquely Venetian. Chevron beads can have up to 10 layers, with blue being the most common color. Red, green, and black chevron beads are rarer and highly sought after. The production of chevron beads later expanded to the Netherlands. The name "chevron" refers to their characteristic mountain-like pattern.
