About Dzi Beads (Chong Dzi Beads):
Dzi beads are ancient beads from Tibet. Similar to etched carnelian beads, they are created by firing natural dyes onto agate to form intricate patterns. The various fired patterns on Dzi beads are believed to hold different meanings, with the round "eye" patterns being particularly revered for their significance. Recently, their popularity has surged in China, where they are known as "Tianzhu" and many replicas are produced using similar techniques.
