About Dzi Beads (Chongyi Dzi Beads):
Dzi beads are ancient beads originating from Tibet. Similar to etched carnelian, these beads are agates designed with patterns created by firing natural dyes onto them. It is believed that they were made between the 1st and 6th centuries AD. However, the exact components of the dyes used in the firing process remain a mystery, adding to the enigmatic nature of these antique beads.
