About Etched Carnelian:
Etched carnelian from the Indus Valley Civilization is created by drawing patterns with a natron solution derived from plants and then firing it at low temperatures of around 300-400°C. These beads have been excavated from sites in Mesopotamia, Afghanistan, and other regions, but it is believed that they were originally made in the Indus River region and transported via land and sea routes.
