About Warring States Beads:

Warring States Beads are glass beads produced during China's Warring States period, approximately from the 5th to 3rd century BCE, before the unification by the Qin dynasty. The earliest Chinese glass, dating back to the 11th to 8th centuries BCE, was discovered in Luoyang, Henan Province. However, widespread production and circulation of glass products began during the Warring States period.

Early Warring States beads, known as "faience," were primarily ceramic cores decorated with glass patterns. Eventually, fully glass beads were produced. Common designs included "Seven Star Beads" and "Eye Beads," featuring dotted patterns. Although the glass-making techniques and design elements were influenced by West Asian regions like Roman glass, the materials used in Chinese glass from this era differed, highlighting the advanced glass-making skills in ancient China.

These beads not only hold historical significance as the beginning of China's glass history but are also cherished by collectors for their diverse designs and colors.
