About Chinese Warring States Beads:

The "Warring States Beads" were created during the Warring States period (5th–3rd century BCE) before the unification of China under the Qin dynasty. The earliest Chinese glass, discovered in Luoyang, Henan Province, dates back to the 11th–8th century BCE. However, glass products began to circulate widely during the Warring States period. Early Warring States beads were primarily made from faience, a ceramic material with glass patterns, later transitioning to fully glass beads. Common designs include "Seven Star Beads" and "Eye Beads," featuring dot patterns. The glassmaking techniques and designs were influenced by Western Asian regions such as Roman glass, but the materials used in Chinese glass were different, showcasing the advanced glassmaking skills of ancient China. These beads not only hold historical significance as the beginning of China's glass history but are also highly regarded for their rich designs and colors, attracting many enthusiasts.
