About MALAIKA:

"MALAIKA" means "angel" in Swahili. The brand is dedicated to preserving and sharing the warmth of traditional craftsmanship from around the world, including Asia, Africa, and South America. MALAIKA emphasizes the use of block printing, hand embroidery, hand weaving, natural dyes, and tie-dye techniques, showcasing the rich cultures and artisanal skills of these regions.

Dub Print:

Dub Print is a traditional Indian mud resist dyeing technique widely practiced near Jaipur. A paste (Dub) made from mud and other materials is applied with wood blocks to areas meant to resist dye. After dyeing the entire fabric, the Dub is washed away, leaving behind the undyed sections. The technique allows for the creation of intricate patterns with varying shades, resulting in a beautiful and deep color expression.
