About Malaika:

"Malaika," meaning "angel" in Swahili, is a brand dedicated to sharing the warmth of craftsmanship. Since its inception, Malaika has celebrated traditional techniques and materials from Asia, Africa, and South America. The brand showcases the beauty of block printing, hand embroidery, hand weaving, natural dyeing, and tie-dyeing, using abundant natural materials to convey the culture and charm of local craftsmanship.

About Dab Printing:

Dab printing, a traditional mud resist technique prevalent near Jaipur, involves applying a paste (Dub) of mud and other substances to areas intended to resist dye. After pressing the paste with a wooden block and allowing it to dry, the fabric undergoes dyeing, with the Dub areas remaining uncolored. This method creates varying shades and depths, resulting in beautifully intricate patterns.
